Hi Ashley,

Thanks for contacting Reference about your research problem. I'm sorry to hear you've had some troble finding articles for your literature review. Part of the issue you may be experiencing is that your search is rather broad. It would be helpful to know what "mental illness" you are researching (Down's Syndrome, Autism, etc.). I'm searching our Health Sciences Database Collection (http://navigator-cup.passhe.edu/login?url=http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?authtype=ip&profile=ehost&defaultdb=c8h&defaultdb=hch&defaultdb=mnh&defaultdb=s3h) for Scholarly Articles related to "maternal age" (note the parentheses, I put those around those two words in my search bar) and am retrieving 33,000+ results. If you add "autism" to that search, for example, you get over 800 results (http://navigator-cup.passhe.edu/login?qurl=http%3a%2f%2fsearch.ebscohost.com%2flogin.aspx%3fdirect%3dtrue%26db%3dc8h%26db%3dhch%26db%3dmnh%26db%3ds3h%26bquery%3d(%2526quot%253bmaternal%2bage%2526quot%253b)%2bAND%2b(autism)%26cli0%3dRV%26clv0%3dY%26type%3d1%26site%3dehost-live%26scope%3dsite) with titles like "Estimated Autism Risk and Older Reproductive Age," "Advancing Parental Age and Risk of Autism," et al. You can repeat the same search with Down's Syndrome, Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, or any other developmental disorder.

Let me know if you need any more information, or give us a call at 724-938-4094 for help with this research. Best of luck!

-Monica
